Privacy Policy for LanSync Calendar CLI
LanSync Calendar CLI, also referred to as LanSync, is a local command-line application developed by Tyon and published on lansync.tyon.top. This privacy policy explains how the application accesses, uses, stores, retains, and deletes Google user data.
Last updated: May 7, 2026
1. Google User Data We Access
When a user authorizes LanSync Calendar CLI with Google OAuth, the application may access the following categories of Google user data as needed for calendar synchronization features:
- Google Calendar calendar lists and calendar metadata.
- Google Calendar event data that the user chooses to read, create, or update.
- OAuth access tokens and refresh tokens issued for the application.
2. How We Use Google User Data
LanSync Calendar CLI uses Google user data only to provide user-facing calendar features requested by the user. This includes authenticating the user, reading calendar information, creating or updating calendar events, and maintaining local synchronization settings on the user's own device.
LanSync Calendar CLI does not use Google user data for advertising, profiling, credit decisions, resale, data brokerage, or general-purpose AI or machine learning model training.
3. Where Data Is Stored
LanSync Calendar CLI is a local application. Google user data processed by the app, including OAuth tokens and local configuration, is stored on the user's own device. The developer does not operate a hosted service that stores the user's Google Calendar data.
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
LanSync Calendar CLI does not sell, rent, or share Google user data with third parties. The application sends data only to Google APIs when necessary to perform the actions requested by the user, such as reading calendars or creating and updating events.
The application does not include advertising trackers or third-party analytics services for Google user data.
5. Data Retention
OAuth tokens and local configuration are retained on the user's own device until one of the following happens:
- The user deletes the local files or stored credentials.
- The user revokes the application's access in their Google Account permissions settings.
- The user uninstalls or stops using the application and removes its local data.
The developer does not keep a separate remote copy of the user's Google Calendar data.
6. Data Deletion and User Controls
Users can delete their data at any time by removing local tokens and configuration files from their own device. Users can also revoke LanSync Calendar CLI access through the Google permissions page:
https://myaccount.google.com/permissions
Once access is revoked and local tokens are removed, the application can no longer access Google user data for that account.
7. Security Measures
LanSync Calendar CLI uses HTTPS when communicating with Google APIs. The application requests only the scopes needed for user-facing functionality. Sensitive credentials are intended to remain on the user's device and are not intentionally transmitted to unrelated third parties.
8. Changes to This Policy
If this privacy policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new last updated date.
